What does the free tier actually let me do?
You get up to 3 books in your library, unlimited highlights on those books, and 50 active flashcards in your spaced-repetition rotation. No trial countdown, no nag screens. If you stay below those limits, the free tier is yours forever.
Why no lifetime option?
Lifetime deals sound generous but they kill small software businesses — every existing customer keeps consuming hosting and support costs forever with no recurring revenue to fund updates. Tools we love (Sketch, Bear, Day One) have all moved away from lifetime for the same reason. Subscription means we can keep improving Memreader for years, not abandon it once the cash runs out. The Founding Member rate is the closest thing — $49/year, locked forever, even when we raise prices later.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. One click in Settings → Billing. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then your account returns to the free tier — your books and highlights stay safe. Full details in our refund policy.
What happens after the first 200 Founding Members?
Founding Member pricing closes permanently. Pro stays at $72/year for new sign-ups. Existing Founding Members keep their $49 rate for as long as their subscription stays active — that's the whole point of the offer.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal — handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. They handle tax, fraud-screening, and refunds globally so we can focus on building the product.
